About the movie

What is bound to be a typical night for a group of old war veterans at their local VFW post turns into an all-out battle for survival when a young desperate woman runs into to the bar with a bag of stolen drugs seeking shelter from a deranged drug dealer and his relentless army of punk mutants. The war veterans who live by a code of honor put their lives on the line to defend the innocent woman with every weapon at their disposal. To the war veterans, the VFW post is home, but is now about to become a gritty war zone and the biggest fight of their lives. The war veterans have no trouble getting back into combat mode, but the drug dealers will do whatever it takes to get back what is theirs.
Known from Almost Human and The Mind’s Eye, VFW is director Joe Begos latest feature film, delivering new visceral and thrilling action set in the near distant future. The film premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2019.
