About the movie

A group of four amateur adventurers who specialize in exploring remote and forsaken places decides to pay a visit to Shookum Hills, a small town in the Appalachian countryside where underground coal mines have been ablaze for decades due to a mysterious coal mine fire that released toxic gas. The group of adventures try to find out how the fires started, but as they get closer to the town, the locals try almost anything to keep them out of there. They soon discovering something even more startling and disturbing than the coal mine mystery that sent them there from the beginning, they discover that they are not alone.
The Devil Below is directed by Bradley Parker, previously known from the film Chernobyl Diaries and working as a visual effects’ supervisor on Marvel’s Loki, Ad Astra, and second unit director on The Batman, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War of the Planet of the Apes films.
