Superswede: A Film About Ronnie Peterson

About the movie

Superswede traces famous motor sport icon Ronnie Petersons life from a working-class household in a small Swedish town to a successful and glamorous carrier as a Formula-1 driver that ended up costing him his life. A crash during the Italian Grand Prix in 1978 turned fatal and Peterson lost his life, 34 years old. The documentary is filled with unseen archive footage from his personal life with his family as well as his career. Several legends from the motorsport industry is expected to be featured in the film; Jackie Stewart and Niki Lauda among others.
From Nice Drama, the production company behind the Academy Award nominated “The Hundred Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared”, here is a portrait of the world renowned Formula-1 driver Ronnie Peterson who after a fatal crash left a whole world grasping for air. Petersons daughter Nina Kennedy will co-produce.
