Stuck at a wedding in Palm Springs on November 9th, Nyles meets Sarah who is the bride’s maid of honor. After Nyles rescues Sarah from her disastrous toast, they bond with each other and stumbles into the desert. Nyles is abruptly shot in the shoulder with an arrow by and older man named Roy. Wounded, Nyles crawls toward a mysterious light in a nearby cave while not listening to Sarah’s warning to not follow. The following day, Nyles wakes up and it is November 9th again, and Sarah must explain that he has become stuck in the same time loop as her.
Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020, it broke the record for the biggest sale in the history of the festival. Directed by Max Barbakow and distributed by NEON in the U.S, Palm Springs has received global critical acclaim with several nominations and wins from the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards, Satellite Awards, Independent Spirit Awards, Hollywood Critics Association and Writers Guild of America.
