Young opera singer Betty is forced to play the lead in an avant-garde production of Macbeth after the original lead is run over by a car. Soon after production start she find herself the target of an obsessed stalker who end up kidnapping her and forcing her to witness the gruesome murders of her boyfriend and fellow cast members. When unexpectedly set free, Betty now must try and recover from her traumatic experience while knowing that her stalker is always watching her.
In famous Dario Argento style, ‘Opera’ is no exception to visually stunning cinematic work and a script in classic murder mystery spirit with a twist. His collaboration with the 1983 Academy Award winning cinematographer Ronnie Taylor, resulted in a classic film described as horror in its most beautiful and gruesome state.
