Single mother Sarah and her young son Chris move to a rural town in efforts to build a new life. One night, Chris goes missing in the woods near their house. Sarah finds him seemingly safe and sound close to a giant sinkhole. When they return home, Sarah notices unsettling changes in Chris and must find out if it is an evil force deriving from the sinkhole that causes her son’s chilling behavior.
Writer-director Lee Cronin makes his feature debut after several celebrated horror-themed short films (Ghost Train, Through the Night). Since his debut feature premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, appraisal was bestowed for its cast, score and portrayal of an eerie mother-son relationship.
