Documentary
Roy Halston Frowick, known simply as Halston, was a world-renowned fashion designer in the 70s, who put American couture on the global map. He was living the American dream, moving from a small town in Iowa to New York City where he became highly successful in his work. He created a fashion empire but jeopardized it all through a series of risky business ideas.
From the director of fashion-docs Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel (2011) and Dior and I (2014), Frédéric Tcheng has now created Halston, a compelling portrait about the rise and fall of one of the most iconic fashion figures in history. The documentary features appearances by some of his closest friends and peers; Liza Minnelli, Marisa Berenson, Naeem Khan and many more.
