About the movie

The renowned, terrifying story of a group of students stranded on an island, creating a horrific micro-society of hunters and gatherers. As time goes by, the students – divided into two groups – upholds a rivalry, and one of the groups seemingly will stop at nothing to assure themselves of survival.
Based on William Golding’s canonical novel, this first movie adaptation of Lord of the Flies was received with unanimous praise from the critics, dubbing it an “expert shocker!” and director Peter Brook was nominated for the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival.
