About the movie

“Ennio” is a comprehensive portrait of two time Oscar winning composer Ennio Morricone who passed away in July 2020, aged 91. Ennio Morricone is considered to be among the most influential and prolific musicians of the twentieth century, who has scored over 500 movie soundtracks. Ennio is an intimate documentary uniquely presented not only through extensive interviews with Morricone but also his well acclaimed friends and colleagues; Bruce Springsteen, Quentin Tarantino, Celine Dion, Dario Argento, Sting, Martin Scorsese, Metallica, Yo Yo Ma, John Williams, Clint Eastwood and Liliana Cavani to neme few. Ennio is directed by Giuseppe Tornatore (Cinema Paradiso), a long-time collaborator and close friend of Morricone. Ennio is premiering at Venice Film Festival.
