Dries is a unique and intimate documentary about a year in the life of Belgian fashion designer Dries Van Noten. The film will mark his 25th anniversary in the fashion industry. Van Noten have for the past 30 years kept a very low profile, this is the first time he has allowed a filmmaker to follow him closely. Known for his patterns and extraordinary techniques, Van Noten shares his passion for fashion as well as his personal gardening hobby with the audience.
Reiner Holzemer is the first director who managed to convince fashion designer Dries Van Noten to allow him all access to his business life and his deeply kept private one. In this documentary, he will share his sources of inspiration and insights of the fast-paced fashion world. Featuring interviews with fashion icons including Iris Apfel, Pamela Goblin and Suzy Menkes. World premiered at CPH:DOX 2017.
