Drama, Thriller
Two couples meet at a posh and exclusive restaurant. Neither couple is looking forward to this get together as the reason for their reunion is far from pleasant, the chilling tension is all around. Paul, a former history teacher, thinks he’s nobody compared to his brother Stan, a U.S congress man. Their two teenage sons have committed a horrible crime caught on video by an anonymous user, now the parents must decide how to handle the situation without ruining their sons, and their own, lives.
In the intense atmosphere hides an array of psychological stressed characters whose darkness is beautifully exposed by Academy Award nominated writer/director Oren Moverman. This film, based on the best selling novel by Herman Koch, also features several Academy Award nominated actors such as Laura Linney, Steve Coogan and Chloë Sevigny. Official Selection at both Berlinale and Tribeca Film Festival 2017.
