About the movie

In this epic western thriller a new nameless Reverend comes to town and at first sight of him Liz Brundy, a midwife who’s also mute, knows she and her family is in danger. Everyone else is charmed by him but Liz soon becomes the target of his new sadistic methods of punishment as he turns the entire God-fearing and superstitious town against her.
In his first English-language production director Martin Koolhoven delivers a Western revenge epic film with Guy Pearce (known from Academy Award nominated ‘Memento’ and ‘Alien: Covenant) and Dakota Fanning (‘Hide and Seek’, ‘War of the Worlds’)as his leading characters. Also starring Kit Harrington and Carice van Houten (‘Game of Thrones’). Official selection at TIFF and Venice Film festival 2016.
