Arès

About the movie

Pablo is a veteran professional fighter in a post-apocalyptic future, where France has fallen behind economically and become one of the world’s poorer countries. Pablo is nicknamed Arès after the Greek god of war, and makes his living working with security aside from still fighting. His coach proposes Arès tries out a new fitness drug, to which he declines. However, when his family is put in the point of action, Arès has to reconsider his values and priorities.
Arès is executively produced by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, Now You See Me) and directed by feature first-timer Jean-Patrick Benes, creator of acclaimed and awarded tv-series Kaboul Kitchen. Starring as Arès is Ola Rapace (Skyfall), accompanied by amongst others Thierry Hancisse (Midnight in Paris, The Ax).
