About the movie

The Trip reunites comedy favourites Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. In the style of Curb Your Enthusiasm, the story is fictional and semi-improvised, but based around their real personas. Steve is asked to review half a dozen restaurants and reluctantly he calls Rob, the only person he can think of who will be available. Over the course of six meals at six different restaurants, the ultimate odd couple find themselves debating the big questions of life over a series of culinary delights.
The Trip is directed by Michael Winterbottom (24 Hour Party People, A Mighty Heart, Tristram Shandy) who has won both the Golden and the Silver Bear and in addition five Golden Bear nominations, three Palme d’Or nominations and one Golden Lion nomination. The star-strewn-two-person-ensemble consists of the acclaimed Steve Coogan (In the Loop, 24 Hour Party People) and the hilarious Rob Brydon (Tristram Shandy, 24 Hour Party People).
